Serbian is one of the Slavic languages. It belongs to the South Slavic subgroup along with Bulgarian, Macedonian, Slovenian, Montenegrin, Croatian and Bosnian. Today, in Serbia, Cyrillic is the only official script, but outside of official use, Latin is sometimes used.

The number of speakers of this language is about 8.5 million people. There are other data that say that about 12 million people use this language.
Legalization and regulation of gambling in Serbia
Gambling has been legal in the country since 2006. The desire to get into the EU has become an additional motive to develop better and more detailed regulation. In 2011, online gambling became legal. Quality regulation of online gambling appeared in 2013. The law on online gambling was amended in 2020. Today, among other things, it includes general rules for advertising and responsible gambling, as well as rules regarding Anti-Money Laundering. The country also has a set of rules to avoid the participation of underage people and people with gambling addictions.
