Legalization and regulation of gambling in Vietnam
For decades, all forms of gambling have been banned in Vietnam. Until last year, however, the government brought betting on dog racing and horse racing, as well as national lotteries, land-based casinos and betting shops, out of the shadows. Now they are legal, but only available to foreign citizens and residents of the country with foreign passports.
