Ecobank Transnational Inc is a pan-African financial group. It operates in 35 African countries and its main markets are Nigeria and Francophone West Africa. The priority direction of the group is corporate and investment banking.
The group was founded in 1985 by the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the support of ECOWAS. In 2008, an alliance with Nedbank happened.
