It does not issue cards, issue loans, or set fees or commissions for customers. The main objective of the corporation is to provide financial institutions-partners with convenient and safe financial services. Through its business partners, the company provides 3 main types of cards: debit, credit and prepaid.
In 2007, the company announced the function of contactless payments. Now customers just need to hold the card to the POS instead of inserting it into the device or swiping it through the reader.
In 2014, Visa teamed up with Apple. As a result of the joint work, the Apple Pay financial service was created, which allowed users to pay for purchases contactlessly using a smartphone.
